Working in schools with passion from the perspective of a psychotherapist, I strongly believe in prevention and in the value of education to promote a healthy development for individuals.
My professional profile is the outcome of different experiences and educational paths and I work as an independent professional in private practice, in teams and in schools, private and public, Italian and international. The transcultural 'lenses' provide me with a perspective that travels across my professional collaborations.
I am an an ACT therapist (third wave cognitive behavioural therapies), member of ACBS - Association for Contextual Behavioural Science. I learned and started the practice of mindfulness within this context of CPD, and mindfulness is now one of my areas of specialization, including mindful eating and mindfulness for children and adolescents.
I consider school communities as key scenarios for promoting global mental health thorugh improving psychological flexibility.
I have been working for many years in clinical and educational environments inhabited by a multilingual and multicultural population, with international families and individuals exposed to contexts with high cultural complexity. This makes me well aware of how social, emotional, academic and personal development happen along intertwining languages and codes. Such scenarios require a consistent fine tuning to the specific cultural elements that shape a person's experience, when they ask for a consultation, a psychological or psychoeducational intervention, or counselling.
