Visiting feelings by Lauren Rubenstein is a wonderfully illustrated and precious book to look at with your children, to cultivate mindfulness in the service of emotional intelligence.
The book encourages children to meet each feeling as a guest — welcome them in, explore them with curiosity, learn to know how they show up in their body and minds, and sometimes they could also understand why they are visiting, what signal they are giving.
It's a valuable guide to help children develop their innate ability to fully experience the present moment inviting kids to make space and befriend all of their feelings with acceptance and equanimity.
